Games change fast. Keeping up shouldn't feel like homework.
PatchCodex was built around a simple problem: stepping away from a game for a few weeks or months can make coming back feel overwhelming, especially in games where it really matters.
Patches, hotfixes, balance changes, new systems, reworks, and content updates pile up quickly. When you return, you're often left digging through months of patch notes, videos, and community discussions just to answer one question:
The question
What changed since I last played?
PatchCodex is designed to answer that.
Most of us don't play one game forever. We rotate between games, take breaks, come back for a new season, or reinstall something after months away.
PatchCodex keeps track of the games you play and organizes official updates around what is actually relevant to you.
Instead of making you read every patch note that shipped while you were gone, features like Since You Last Played help turn that history into something easier to understand.
The goal is simple
Spend less time catching up and more time playing.
PatchCodex focuses on updates from official developer and publisher sources.
We organize those changes into a format that makes it easier to see things like:
- major updates and content releases
- balance changes
- character, weapon, and item changes
- system reworks
- important fixes
- changes that happened while you were away
You can always dig deeper when you want to, but you shouldn't have to read thousands of words just to understand the state of a game you already know.
The experience is centered around your games.
PatchCodex isn't meant to be another general gaming news feed.
When you connect your supported library, PatchCodex can use your play history to help determine where you left off and show you the changes that happened afterward.
That means two players looking at the same game may care about completely different periods of its history—and PatchCodex is designed around that idea.
Privacy & trust
Connecting a gaming account should never feel questionable.
PatchCodex is being built with security, privacy, and transparency as core parts of the product rather than something added later.
We aim to collect only the information necessary to provide the experience, rely on official account and game data where possible, and make it clear what information is being used and why.
PatchCodex uses information made available through connected accounts, public game sources, and the data needed to provide personalized features. We bring that information together so it is easier to understand and more useful when you return to a game.
Read the Privacy PolicyPatchCodex is still growing, and we expect the product to evolve as more games, platforms, and features are added.
But the idea behind it will stay the same:
Know what changed. Since you last played.
